Over the last few days, Gerakan’s Tan Sri Koh Tsu Koon has been sending out an SOS of sorts to close friends in government and the Barisan Nasional. The gist of this message was that he alone could not hold the line against the rising tide of party members who wanted Gerakan to ditch the ruling coalition.

The way he put it, he was facing a critical situation and only the strategic intervention by the BN leadership could help. If he tried to fight the momentum on his own, he would be swept aside. Read in full
