Latest news reports said former Penang Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon has won the Gerakan president’s post uncontested.

Perak Gerakan chief Datuk Chang Ko Youn is contesting the deputy president’s post. A total of 10 candidates are contesting the three vice-president posts while 40 candidates are vying for the 18 central committee posts.

Dr Asharuddin Ahmad is the only Malay contesting the vice-president post and the first Malay to go for a key position so far.
