Reading from a prepared note, Abdul Razak said “I have spent 22 months in prison, with the guidance of Allah s.a.w and firm believed in my innocent,”
He finally broke his silence since being acquitted of a charge of abetting in the murder Altantuya Shaariibuu on Oct 31, and said too many slanderous statements had been hurled at certain quarters in connection with the case.
“Those who hurled the slanderous statements never came up with solid proof because there is, in fact, no evidence,” he told a news conference here.
While Abdul Razak walks free as many have predicted, Azilah and Sirul Azhar have been ordered to enter their defence. The prosecution is not appealing against the acquittal of Abdul Razak.
Abdul Razak also said he wanted to pursue a doctorate at Oxford University. Well, he should. By going on vacation for three years and come back – most Malaysians already forgotten about Altantuya.
Abdul Razak will easily walk into the corridor of power as Najib already residing comfortably at Sri Perdana.
