Barisan Nasional government has started the election goodies rolling barely a month before Kuala Terengganu by-election. Deputy Prime Minister announced on Thursday that Terengganu government will get additional RM400 million (in advance?) oil royalty payment this Saturday.
Terengganu government had been the 5 percent royalty previously and the current RM400 million announced by Najib on Thursday was on top of that amount.
Utusan quoting Terengganu Menteri Besar Datuk Said said “the payment was on top of the five percent royalty received from RM50 billion worth of oil produced by the state annual”.
But according to Malaysiakini Pakatan Rakyat will give Barisan Nasional a tough fight in the upcoming Kuala Terengganu by-election next January.
Terengganu is also likely to receive more than RM400 million within the next few weeks as the by election approaching.
Abdullah already said that Kuala Terengganu is BN seat and would do everything within their power to retain the seat.
