Kuching city latest hotel the Four Points by Sheraton located near the Kuching International Airport had its soft opening on Sunday and expected to be officially open for booking on January 17.fpbs-11

“We’re extremely excited to introduce Four Points by Sheraton brand to Malaysia,” said the hotel general manager Malachy McArdle in a press release.

“We offer guests approachable and straightforward hospitality – a style that will work really well for the Kuching market,” he added.

Four Points by Sheraton Kuching has 421 guest rooms, each with a bed, large workspace with ergonomic desk and chair, a 32-inch plasma television and a laptopsized safe.

Inside each room, there is also a direct link for information on flights services which guests can view and check through the television screen.

The hotel lobby is said to be longest in Sarawak, the ballroom is the biggest in Kuching city that can accommodate up to 1300 people a a sit-down and the first hotel to be connected online with KIA.

Other facilities available include a 24-hour fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa with eight treatment rooms and steam room and sauna as well as a 24-hour business centre.fpbs-1

More facilities are in store for Four Points by Sheraton Kuching in the future and these will include a large boulevard with restaurants and a Japanese hawker-style restaurantfor exclusive dining experience.
