A few months back I tried to get hold of Peter Chong – the manager of Imperial Suites Bintulu for an interview. Unfortunately, he didn’t return my call nor reply my email.

“Apparently we were not ready at that time,” Evelyn Kang coyly explained why her boss was reluctance to be interviewed at that time when met yesterday. “The apartment was very much under construction then.”

She contacted Bintulu.Org in middle of last month after chanced upon a post and suggested for a brief tour of the premise yesterday.

The Bintulu Imperial Suites Apartment also known as Beach Resort Condominium is strategically located at Tanjung Batu. Fronting the South China Sea, it offers magnificent view of the popular Tanjung Batu Beach to the North West and the zoological garden Taman Tumbina to the East.

“We are catering for those who want comfort and luxury for a finest stay in Bintulu,” Evelyn enthusiastically explained while showing us the various type of apartment units in the Tower A.

However the comfort and luxury that the apartment offers were at very competitive prices. For example, the published rate for type A and F, a three to four bedrooms apartment – boasting 1851-1883 square feet of space is only RM500++ per night!

The rate for type B and E (1,689 square feet) with 3 bedrooms is at RM440++, type C and D with 3 bedrooms and about 1420 square feed of living space is at RM380++. However all the above quoted prices subject to changes and you are advised to contact Imperial Suites at (6) 086 – 330 399 for the latest rates.

“We are certainly much cheaper and better than most hotels in town,” She said.

Every apartment unit was tastefully furnished, with 2 bathrooms, wireless broadband, spacious living and dining area and equipped with kitchen, washing and drying machines.

The apartment also offers wide array of facilities such as swimming pool, gymnasium, sauna, cafeteria, jogging tracks, barbecue huts, covered parking space and playground.

Another facilities expected to be ready in the middle of the year were a convenience store and tennis court.

Access to various area of the apartment would require two different security passes.

“Our guest security is very important to us,” Evelyn said. “The apartment main entrance is manned by at least four security guards at any given time and we have a 24-hour security surveillance within the apartment perimeter”.

Guests who have visitors coming in to visit them can call the apartment security personnel directly on a dedicated phone line.

To those planning to extend their stay in Bintulu, wanted comfort and luxury of home can choose for a long term apartment-rental, which entails certain discount rates.
