Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Alfred Jabu is in no hurry to hop into the blogging bandwagon, saying having a blog will only bog him down.
Jabu, who is the state rural development minister, said having a blog would confine him to his desk and not able to move around in the state with vast interior.
“As the rural development minister, I need to visit these rural areas and serve the people.
“If I am confined to my desk, I will be falling into the trap of people who want to immobilise me,” he told reporters after receiving a courtesy call from The Netherlands ambassador to Malaysia, Lody Embrechts.
Jabu said he had his own ways of serving the people.
He also said that he would not be replying allegations published in blogs because there were simply too many blogs nowadays.
When asked on the popularity of blogs among the Dayak intellectuals, Jabu said, bloggers were welcome to write but they must not touch on sensitive issues.
