Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will make a three-day visit to Sarawak from Wednesday where he is scheduled to hand over assistance to government-aided mission schools as well as to flood victims.

The Information Department said Najib and wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, would arrive on Wednesday night.

Najib would receive the Darjah Utama Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang which carries the title “Datuk Patinggi” from the Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng on Thursday, the department said in a statement.

After the investiture ceremony, he is scheduled to hold a meeting with the Sarawak Barisan Nasional leaders.

Other programmes include handing over assistance to mission schools at the Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan St Thomas, attending a session with the people at the Dayak Bidayuh National Association headquarters and closing the Islamic Congress organised by the Sarawak Islamic Council.

On Friday, Najib will meet the executive council of the Dayak Chamber of Commerce headed by Tan Sri Leo Moggie before heading to Miri to hand over assistance to flood victims.

He is also scheduled to inspect damages caused by the recent floods in the district.
