Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing assets and properties which include luxury jets have been frozen by the police – as the PKFZ scandal heightened.

According to news report the KDSB CEO was notified of the seizures yesterday, which were done as part of investigations into the PKFZ scandal.

In recent months, Tiong had been quizzed by the Commercial Crimes Investigations Department (CCID) last month over alleged irregularities in the development of the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) trans-shipment hub.

“It is believed that police are going after Tiong’s assets — which includes a luxury private jet — using the Anti-Money Laundering Act, according to Malaysia Insider.

Meanwhile, in a related news report MCA president Ong Tee Keat has been cleared of the RM10 million donation scandal by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

MACC has not found any solid evidence to indicate that Ong had received RM10mil from embattled Kuala Dimensi Sdn Bhd CEO Tiong King Sing for party activities, reports Malaysian Mirror.

Tiong had alleged that the RM10mil was a ‘loan’ (later it was changed to ‘donation’) to the MCA and that the money was received by Ong.

It is learnt that initial investigations by the MACC have drawn a blank and there was nothing much to back up Tiong’s allegations.
