Huan Cheng Guan, former Gerakan vice-president Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) received much needed boost following news report of 600 Gerakan members from Machang Bubok division will be joining Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM).

National daily The Star reported former Gerakan party vice-president Huan Cheng Guan as saying “these members will join PCM en bloc after dissolving the division Sunday”.

“I am expecting more Gerakan members, who are disgusted with the present leadership, to leave the party soon.

“There is also so much politicking in Gerakan that the membership is eroding,” he told reporters at a press conference at the state PCM headquarters in Chai Leng Park, Prai, Penang.

In Sarawak the yet to be officially launched PCM had appointed Gabriel Adit Demong Ngemah state assemblyman as it state chairman.

Adit said he quit PKR as he didn’t believe the party capable of unseating Barisan Nasional (BN) in Sarawak and hope PCM can provide better service to the people.

In a press conference on 16 Dec, Huan alleged he was suspended from Gerakan because he raised up issues for the grassroots members.

“ As vice-president, I cannot raise up issues for the members, then there is no point I stay inside the party,” he said.

Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) reported to have nearly 5,000 members in the country and claimed several of its sponsors were BN members.
