PR first stump for the Sibu parliamentary by-election was held at Sungai Merah - attended by several top PR leaders.

Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim who flown in from Kuala Lumpur to Sibu less than an hour ago went straight to stump for Pakatan Rakyat (PR) candidate at Sungai Merah.

The opposition leader skip the nomination day parade today. PKR was represented by its president Datuk Seri Wan Azizah, vice president Azmin Ali, state PKR chief Baru Bian and few of the party top leaders.

Pakatan Rakyat stump tonight will be held at three places – Esan, LaiLai and Hock Lee Siang.

Will BN be stumping too tonight? A checked at Robert Lau website and Facebook page a while ago – made no mentioned of him or other BN leaders will be holding any ‘ceramah’ tonight.

Nor were there any stumps schedule being posted at both websites.

Unlike Wong, Lau was reported to be relying less on online media or social networking sites such Twitter, Facebook to spread his campaign messages.

His family vast media empire such as Borneo Post, Sin Chew and couple with guaranteed exposure on mainstream media – making the new media less attractive to him.
