ASTRO has no plan to reduce subscription fees for any of it packages according to its Chief Operating Officer Henry Tan.
“ASTRO invested nearly RM300 million annually to develop its products thus there is no plan to reduce the current subscription fees,” he said at the launching of Astro’s latest product – b.yond Personal Video Recorder (PVR) in Kuching on Saturday.
Astro currently broadcasted to nearly 50 percent of Malaysian’s homes and penetrated 38 percent of Sarawak households.
The satellite tv broadcaster maintains its offer the cheapest pay-per-view tv broadcaster in South East Asia.
“In Singapore sport package costs 10 times more expensive than RM300 Astro’s charges for sports package in Malaysia,” Tan said.
