Japan fascination with robots continues. At recent Japanese robot expo, researchers showcase various latest invention.
But one that probably can help provide solutions to Japan increasingly aging population is a robot that can remember object it seeing.
According to researcher Takayuki Nagai, the robot nickname ‘Degoro’ is equipped with six high performance cameras, guided by six computers and able to recognize faces.
“if you show the robot an object, it will learn and remember the object. You just say the object name and it will get it for you,” he said.
Robot is expected to lend a helping hand to Japan increasingly aging population, estimated to be more than 40 percent of its population by year 2050.
