DAP and Sarawak National Party (Snap) representatives concluded their first rounds of talks last week on a possible merger.
Sarawak DAP chief Wong Ho Leng said during the meeting, both parties discussed avenues for cooperation and “mechanics of the merger”.
Wong also hinted that DAP will be contesting in Belaga or some Dayak majority seats.
“In 1987 we contested in Belaga and we’ve not contesting in Belaga for long time, but we’re contesting in Bengoh,” he said.
“It’s about time we contested in Dayak majority seats and after all it was PKR that say their resources have been over stretch.
