Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua’s (Perodua)latest Myvi model has recorded 18,000 in vehicle sales from Jan 4 to yesterday.

Managing Director Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh said demand for the model is still strong with the Elegance series continuing to receive the highest number of orders from customers.

“To date, we have received about 34,000 orders with 18,000 cars having been delivered. We expect to deliver the remaining 16,000 over the next two months,” he told reporters after a national flag raising ceremony here, today.

The ceremony, along with a mini parade at its headquarters, was for the upcoming Malaysia Day and the 54th Independence Day celebration on Aug 31.

Aminar Rashid also said Perodua is on track to achieve its yearly sales target of 190,000 vehicles this year, having sold about 115,000 to date.
