Bintulu police chief Supt. Madang Usat

Public tip-off led police to the body of missing child Siti Hajar Nor on beach at Kuala Jepak yesterday afternoon.

Bintulu police chief Supt. Madang Usat told media at a press conference,said there was no dubious criminal elements found on the victim body.

However, he said the inquiry will continue despite the victim body has been found.

“We currently classified the case as sudden death, as we have not found criminal elements on the body,” he said.

The identity of the victim, found in a half-naked, was confirmed by his mother, Suriana Jonah as he told the victim was still in Bintulu Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Madang advised parents to ensure their children never left unsupervised by family members to avoid undesirable incident from happening.

Nor Hajar was mysteriously missing while playing with his younger brother, Mohd Fadzley, relatives and friends near the family home in Kampung Baru Sea, Bintulu on Sunday.
