Bintulu Malaysia LNG (MLNG) the operator of one of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas production facilities in a single location did it bit to preserves marine eco-system at Simalajau recently.

“It a part of Corporate social Responsibility program by Petronas MLNG. MLNG will contribute up to RM4.6 Million to this component of the project,” said Dhu Al Faqar.

The project is currently in it third stages of ‘reef ball’ deployment and held in collaboration with sarawak forestry.

A total of 1500 artificial reef balls will be deployed into the sea of the similajau National Park by the end of 2015.

The artificial reef expected to encourage regeneration of marine life as well as prevent illegal trawling in the vicinity of the Similajau National park.
