A new twist in the recent murder case at ABF/MLNG housing. Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing said he received complaints from the victim family alleging police and Bintulu hospital took ‘too long’ responding to their emergency calls.
Tiong said he would meet the relevant government department to get to the bottom of the problem.
“The distant between Kidurong police station and the victim house is only 2-minutes away. But they only arrive at the scene 30 minutes later,” Tiong was quoted by a Chinese language daily newspaper today.
Tiong said police initially said they only received one call from the family. “But when I asked the victim family for their calls list, only then police admitted it was more than one calls,” he said.
The family also alleged that the victim could have survived the attack if had been brought to the hospital sooner.
According to Tiong he would seek further clarifications from the police and Bintulu hospital soon.
Bintulu police chief Supt. Abdul Razak Mohammad when contacted by the Chinese daily, promised to make thorough investigation on the matter.
