HE Kennedy Jawan, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Kingdom of Spain presented his Letters of Credence to His Majesty King Juan Carlos I, the King of Spain on Wednesday, 9 April 2014.

Our heartiest congratulations to His Excellency Ambassador Kennedy Jawan for his recent appointment as the new Malaysia Ambassador to Spain.

Prior to the appointment, Kennedy was Malaysia High Commissioner to South Africa (from 2008-2013) and has served the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1989.

He had held several key positions including a Counsellor at the Embassy of Malaysia in Washington D.C. from 2002 to 2005 and First Secretary at the Embassy of Malaysia in Yangon, Myanmar from 1995 to 1999.

He has also served at the Embassy of Malaysia in Japan from 1992 to 1995. The Sungai Assan, Sibu born career diplomat is the son of Jawan Empaling former Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Health.
