One of the world’s most advanced fighter jets just landed on the runaway of Royal Malaysia Air Force base, Butterworth yesterday, said US Embassy.
“An F-22 Raptor super up close (and at super high resolution), on the runway at the Royal Malaysian Air Force P.U. Butterworth. The F-22 Raptors are in Malaysia for Cope Taufan 14,” the Embassy said.
The F-22 Raptors are from the 154th Wing, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii and their first deployment to a Southeast Asian country.
US Air Force had not disclosed the supersonic, stealth fighter top speed which could be much faster than the disclose estimated of Mach 1.82 during supercruise or sustained supersonic flight.
Wonder how long does it takes to fly from Pearl Harbor-Hickam to Butterworth then?
