Increasingly conservatives Malaysian society can’t see ‘creativity’ in photos of groom shirtless wearing only bow tie, pants and the bride clad only by her undergarment, revealing her assets.
A wedding gallery manager in Ipoh, known only as Koo told The Star, the couple were involved in a pre-wedding photography shot in front of a bank on Jalan Sultan Yussuf Ipoh were models.
Koo, who organised the photo shoot, told Star the photographers were merely being “creative” and was surprised by the response on social media.
He said he had considered the legal aspect of the shoot and was confident it was not an offence.
“People are over-reacting because they have never seen a bikini-clad woman on the streets before.
“It is their right to complain,” said Koo, adding that he has been a professional photographer for more than 20 years.
“I chose the location because it suited the theme and the concept,” he added.
Perak police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani said the police had not received any reports, but were probing the matter, when contacted by the national daily.
