Farming is in his blood. Hectic schedule as Sarawak Land Development Minister is not a hindrance for Tan Dr James Jemut Masing to cultivate his land near Kuching.

The PRS president said he had been farming since 1992 on a piece of land located near Tapah along the Serian-Kuching road.

“I find farming most rewarding and certainly help reduce my family cost of living as we are always self-sufficient in food supply,” Masing told Thesundaypost.

According to Masing he and wife plant hill paddy yearly and raise their own livestock, fish and practically everything they need from their farm.

“Malaysians who have land should till their land for food self-sufficiency,” he said.
