Sarawak PKR chief was delighted the party were given a rare face to face meeting with the Chief Minister at the latter office yesterday.
“We are very happy that we were given the opportunity, the space and the time to meet the Chief Minister,” Baru Bian said after the meeting The Borneo Post reported.
Several issues were raised in the meeting according Baru Bian who is also Ba Kelalan assemblyman, including pertinent 20 percent oil royalties hike and Land Code amendments on Native Customary Land Reserve.
The political divided not a hindrance for PKR to work well with Tan Sri Adenan especially when they were fighting for the interest of the state.
“The opposition is also part of the government, therefore we give constructive suggestions and proposals and if they are good for the state and the people, it should be accepted,” Baru added.
PKR expressed hope the State government would consider their recommendations for the betterment of the people saying “you don’t be malu (embarrassed) to accept any suggestion from the opposition.”
Baru acknowledged that PKR on its part should not just object for the sake of opposing the government just because they were in the opposition.
