A timber company manager pleaded not guilty in Kuching Sessions Court for allegedly bribing policemen with RM2,000 last September.
Ling Sing Ching allegedly committed the offense with the intent to escape prosecution for conducting logging activities without proper license from Sarawak Forestry Department.
He was charged under Section 17 (B) Malaysia Anti-Corruption Act for attempting to bribe a civil servant.
Judge Nixon Kennedy Kumbong set the bail for Ling at RM10,000 with one surety.
Ling case will be mentioned at the same court on November 24-26v.
