A 35-year-old snatch thief suspect that traumatized residents of Jalan Urat Mata, Kuching for weeks finally nabbed by the police.
The suspect believed to have been involved in a number of snatching cases in the areas including snatching a gold necklace worth RM18,000 from a male victim and grabbing a reporter camera.
The suspect was identified after a tip-off from the public who saw a screen grab of CCTV that went viral on social media.
Frustrated residents then put up a ‘wanted poster’ of the suspect at various spots along Jalan Urat Mata.
The police led by Inspector Lee Chee Keat finally zero in on the suspect yesterday morning following tip-off at Taman Malihah, reports The Borneo Post.
The D9 team also seized a motorcycle belonging to the suspect, which he could have used for criminal activities.
