Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) publicized list of vehicles registration numbers in a newspaper in attempted to recover thousands of unpaid parking fines
The 656 vehicle registration numbers was made public by Chinese newspaper Sin Chew Daily yesterday.
“One complainant came to see us with proof that he has paid all fines but still blacklisted by BDA,” said Tonny Ung, Sarawak DAP Youth Secretary.
Tonny said those who had paid their fines and retained the payment slips wouldn’t be much of a problem.
However it could be problematic for those who had not kept their payment slips, he said, adding they could end up paying twice.
BDA is urging those whose vehicle was listed in the advertisement to contact them at 086 – 332 662 or visit Perbinda office Room 004 to settle their fines.
