A local company Vital Focus Group is teaming up with ELC International to build a new International school Bintulu.
It will be located located at Kidurong Sentral and will be taking about 300 students in it first intake and would gradually increased over the next intakes according to Chia Kah Peng, CEO of VF Capital.
Chia said they want to provide high-quality foreign educational programmes for the children here in Bintulu particularly expatriates working in the SCORE region.
“Bintulu ELC International School will be the largest of its kind here and this is one of the initiatives to bring more development to Kidurong Sentral,” Vital Focus Development chief executive officer George Pui said, reports The Borneo Post.
“It is something new here, so for the beginning ELC Bintulu will offer Early Years, Reception and the Primary Division classes,” he said.
“The detailed curriculum (IGCSE/GCSE & GCE) for Year 10 and 11 is prescribed by both Cambridge International Examinations–The University of Cambridge and Edexcel International–London Examinations.”
ELC International established in 1987 currently operate two schools at Sungai Buloh, Selangor and Cyberjaya.
