UPDATED: A man was tragically killed in a collision in front of St John’s Church at Tun Abang Haji Openg Road, Sibu this evening.

No details available yet on how the 6.20pm accident occurred.

A report said, the police believed forceful collision had sent both vehicles into the church fence, bringing down a section of the concrete wall.

The victim identified by police as Ting Yew Kui, 50 believed to have flung into nearby cemetery from impact of the collision.

He died almost instantly.
