DAP and PKR are still at odds with each others even on the nomination day of Sarawak 2016 State polls.

The opposition parties will face-off with each other, Barisan Nasional and Independent in six overlapping seats namely Batu Kitang, Batu Kawah, Mulu Murum, Ngemah and Mambong.

Batu Kitang which has been the heart of the tussle saw PKR candidate being disqualified on technical ground.

Apparently the party proposal was found to be a bankrupt, according to DAP Sarawak Chairman, Chong Chieng Jen accompanied by DAP Supremo Lim Kit Siang on a press conference in Kuching today.

“I feel very sad over what happened this morning”, Kit Siang said after his party had to pitch against PKR in the six seats.

“Don’t split your vote. Vote DAP as we have better chances against BN in those six seats,” he urges voters.

Chong said the party decision to contest at Batu Kitang were the right decision as they were found to be leading PKR by whooping 60:8 among the voters in the area.

“Had we not fielded a candidate in Batu Kitang, SUPP (BN) would have had a walkover,” he said saying that PKR has a lot to explain over the mistake it did in Batu Kitang.

DAP is contesting in 31 seats out of the 82 seats with PKR at 39 seats (after disqualified at Batu Kitang) and Amanah 11 seats.

As PKR and DAP bickers over seats, BN had won Bukit Sari and Bukit Kota in Limbang uncontested on the nomination day.
