Corruption involving civil servant is worse today than a decade ago admits Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).

Its Deputy Commissioner (Operations) Datuk Azam Baki said that, personally, he thought it was due to various factors.

Datuk Azam Baki believed that as the country become more developed, economically, so thus opportunities for corruption.

“When someone who has the power and opportunity, they could easily lure into corruption and abuse of power,” he said, reports Harian Metro, a national daily.
