A convenient store at RPR Sibiyu robbed by parang wielding robbers

Parang (machete) wielding robbers robbed a 24-hours convenient store at RPR Sibiyu early this morning.

The daring, unmask robbers, believed to be locals, went into the store around 12.35am.

A CCTV footages show the two robbers pretending to buy soft drinks before one of them, moved towards a girl manning the store counter while another guarding the entrance wielding a parang.

The convenient store owner wishes to be known as Nicholas, estimated the robber took away RM2,000 cash from the store cash register.

Luckily, both of his employees – one female and a male were unhurt in the incident.

But they were said to be shaken by the robbery incident.

Nicholas said this is the first time his store been robbed.

Based on the CCTV footage, there were only two robbers and it was not immediately known if they had any accomplices.

A police report of the incident had also been lodged.
