It is dubbed Golden Bridge and built at a cost of 35million linking Kuching waterfront to the State Assembly building.
The ‘S’ shape pedestrian bridge is 400 meter in length, 3.25 meter wide and twelve meters above the river to enable easy access to both sides of the river.
The project was launched by then Chief Minister Tun Taib Mahmud on August 2013 and was expected for completion in December 2015.
Recent photos indicated the project still far beyond its completion date. The bridge still had yet to take it designed-shape.
