A married lady from Taman Semariang, Kuching lodged a police report after force to have ‘night-long sex marathons’ with her hubby, reports local daily today.

The rape happened on two occasions late April, forced the victim, age 46, seeking medical treatment from a hospital after the incidents.

According to The Borneo Post, it was a non-consensual sex (or marital rape) and said the police is still investigating the case.

Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO) had been lobbying for the criminalization of marital rape.

However, according to a member of Select Committee on the Review of the Penal Code and Criminal Procedure Code – Seputeh MP Teresa Kok, it is a delicate, complicated issue.

“We found it rather difficult to put the term marital rape inside the law,” she said.

“That’s why the act of a husband causing hurt to his wife with the purpose of soliciting sex is an offense under Section 375A of the Penal Code.”
