In 2013, an oil rig off the coast of Angola near the mouth of the Congo River tilted and sank.

According to Saipem, the company operating the oil rig known as Pedro Negro 6, press release, at least one died and six other suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Later several footages of the incident recorded by eyewitnesses surfaced online, showing moments before the rig sank.

It is scary, showing just how quickly thing could turn from bad to worse when you are working on the open ocean.

It reminds us, the peril that many offshore workers face daily on their job.
