Viral video show six men armed robbers wearing helmets stormed into a restaurant at Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur as patrons were enjoying their meals.

In the incident at 9.30pm yesterday, the robbers brandishing machetes then directing the restaurant and it patron to hand over valuables worth as much as RM29,745 according to an estimate.

Ampang Jaya district police chief ACP Hamzah Alias ​​told Utusan Malaysia police are now conducting an investigation based on closed-circuit television footage (CCTV) from the restaurant.

“Anyone with information on the incident is asked to perform the investigation and the case is being investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code for armed gang robbery,” he said yesterday.
