By BO EDITORIAL   |   Thursday, December 4, 2008 -- Updated 10:10 (MST)

Tun Mahathir the former premier seems to have finally agreed with Abdullah.

Mahathir said decision to sack Datuk Zaid Ibrahim from Umno was right added he should have not chosen from hundreds of leader of sorts as a minister.

In a blog posting yesterday Tun Mahathir said:

“This is the man who was held in high esteem by UMNO President Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi so that from among hundreds of UMNO leaders of sorts, he chose Zaid Ibrahim, a dubious character who could not be accepted even by his own Kota Bahru division and was not made a candidate in the 2008 Election”.

Mahathir also said rumors of Datuk Zaid supporting the opposition parties in the March 2008 election must have be true judging from his recent behavior toward Umno

Taking a swipe at his handpicked successor turn nemesis Mahathir said “ Seems that I am not the only one to make wrong choices.”

News of Datuk Zaid Ibrahim sacking was first reported by Malaysiakini on Dec 2.
