Celcom charges RM1 per Facebook SMS RM1/Week registration

By BO EDITORIAL   |   Monday, January 11, 2010 -- Updated 11:44 (MST)

Text message from Celcom for Facebook SMS activation.

I was trying to activate Facebook mobile status update. But upon receiving the following SMS:

RM1.00 Facebook SMS RM1/Week registration confirmed! Please activate your mobile account at www.facebook.com with the confirmation code. T&C apply. 32665.

Call me stingy, but I don’t think paying RM1 per SMS – when you can easily access Facebook via wifi (available in many public places) with your netbook and notebook.

RM1 is way too expensive for average user like me. What about you?
